ORIGIN OF FAITH
WE BELIEVE:
1. In the beginningless eternal and triune God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each of them is a person and possesses the essence, properties and perfection of God. (Inn.5-26)
2. In the Son of God Jesus Christ - the true God, equal to God the Father. He created and exists everything that was sent into the world by God, was born of the Virgin Mary, who had the nature of God and man, died on the cross of Calvary, rose on the third day, ascended to heaven and sat next to God, the only mediator between God and man. (Col. 1: 15-17)
3. In the person and divinity of the Holy Spirit, equal to God the Father and the Son and who from eternity performs the works of God. The Holy Spirit testifies to the truth of the Word of God, rebukes, revives the sinner, teaches, instructs, comforts, gives the ability to discern and understand spiritual truths. (John 15-26; 16: 7-3)
4. That the revelation of God, recorded in the Scriptures, is perfect, absolute, and complete with the Word of God. By Scripture we mean the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments that have entered the canon of the Bible. (Hebrews 1-12)
5. That man was created by God in the image and likeness of God, as spirit, soul and body, and endowed with free will. Man was created sinless, fell into sin, lost direct communion with God, and became spiritually dead. As a result of the fall of Adam and Eve, all mankind imitates sinful nature and death. During earthly life, each person decides his participation in eternity. (Gen. 1-27; Rom. 5-12; Rom. 3-23.)
6. That the redemption of man from sin and the power of the devil was accomplished by Jesus Christ at Calvary through His death and resurrection. Salvation is a gift of God's grace received by faith through conversion to God and repentance, regardless of merit, good works, or righteousness. By accepting Jesus Christ by faith, man receives forgiveness of sins, deliverance from the power of sin and the devil, birth from above (adoption), and sealing by the Holy Spirit, and eternal life with God (Acts 3-19; Ephesians 1-13; )
7. The need to receive water baptism by faith. Baptism is the commandment of Jesus Christ, which is a sign of the union of the believer with Christ in His death and resurrection, and a promise to God of a good conscience (Mark 16-16, 1 Pet. 3-21).
8. "Lord's Supper" (breaking of bread) - is the commandment of Jesus Christ to members of the Church of Christ to remember and proclaim His suffering and death on the cross, as well as an act of thanksgiving for redemption and expression of spiritual unity with the Lord and with brothers and sisters in the faith. 2: 46-47, Luke 22: 19-20, 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26).
9. Christ created the Church. The church is built by God on the basis of apostles and prophets where the cornerstone is Christ (Ephesians 2-20). It consists of people born again, redeemed by the blood of Christ. The Church is the Body of Jesus Christ. Every believer is baptized into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit at the moment of rebirth (1 Cor. 12:13).
10. In the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory in an unknown day and in the taking of the Church (1 Thess. 4: 15-17, Matt. 24:30, 31-36).
11. In the immortality of the soul (Rev. 6: 9) and in the resurrection of all the dead. In God's judgment and just retribution for everyone. Eternal life with God or eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Rev. 20: 11-15, 2 Thess. 15-9, Acts 17-31).
